During my last trip out to California, I was given a new Subaru WRX to tool around in. Since I saw the first picture of it, I was convinced that they had hired some Chinese company to steal the blueprints for the Mazda3. I finally got the chance to see them together, and here's the result. Thanks very much to my good friend Roben Bellomo for his great photography, and to Adrienne for owning the Mazda.

Amazing. I've always wanted an all wheel drive Mazda3. :)
Too bad they didn't copy the c-pillar/window line shape a little better. The Subaru's shape there looks a little frumpy.
I want your job's perks. When I travel for business I always get Avis' finest POS sedan.
I stick with my original comment and I agree with Mr. Anti-Camry.... there's something about the back end of the Subaru that is just lacking. I also like the front of the Mazda better. Perhaps it's the headlights....
I agree, Mazda wins out...however, to me most of the cars in this category look the same to me, not just these two. You could add the Vibe to the list, and a few others, but I don't know all the names. Randy, I've mentioned this to you before and I know you think I'm on crack, but hey, what's new :) At least you agree on these two!
Yeah, the flares above the wheel arches are a lot more pronounced on the Mazda, making it a better looking car in my opinion, too.
awesome blog, do you have twitter or facebook? i will bookmark this page thanks. jasmin holzbauer
