My brother has had TWO Volkswagen's catch on fire, including a diesel Golf. Neither of them were fully consumed like this one, though. Wow.
I actually heard that the new R32 (yes your new car) is susceptible to an electrical failure, and that a handful have ignited and burned up while parked. Rumor, or factual? I imagine you're plugged in to VW boards enough to know whether or not this is for real...
